1/29/2011 - 2011 Annual Meeting Highlights

The Master, Townhome and Condo Associations held their annual meetings on the 25th of January.

Here are the meeting highlights.

Master Association - Deputy Rafael Duran of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office gave a presentation on crime prevention at the Master Association meeting.

He noted that crimes causing the most problems for Palm Beach County residents are telephone scams followed by break-ins of vehicles.

Common sense is the best way to avoid being victimized by these crimes e.g. don't donate money on the phone or give out your credit card information to strangers and lock your car doors and don't leave valuables in sight including GPS units and other electronic devices.

Townhome Association - The Townhome Board of Directors ratified the extension of the terms of the existing Townhome Directors until the annual meeting in 2012 since the directors were elected less than one year ago at the March 2010 meeting marking the turnover from Developer control to homeowner control.

Condo Association - The Condo Board of Directors opted to hold new elections for its directors in March/April of this year. A letter will be sent to all condo homeowners announcing the date of the election and requesting interested homeowners to submit their name as a candidate for one of the two open positions on the Condo Association Board and/or the one open condo position on the Master Association Board.
