|With the arrival of the rainy season, the lake is finally back to a normal level. |
This past Winter and Spring set new drought records for South Florida resulting in our lake level being low by about 1/2 foot for most of this year.
And it would have gotten even lower if we had not added reclaimed water at a rate of about 45,000 gallons a day to meet our irrigation needs.
But a little rain goes a long way in filling our lake, as all of the streets and parking lots on the property and Flavor Pict Road, for the length of the property, drain into the lake.
Hurray for the rainy season. And hurray for our super efficient water collection system. Hurray!
