|Sunday morning our new ten month old Beagle puppy Gabby got off her leash while Maggie was waking her. Turns out the spring on the leash snap was not up to the task. |
Normally Beagles are hard to catch when they are off their leash as they prefer following their noses wherever the scent takes them. However, in this case we lucked out when Gabby came upon a small statute in a townhome back yard and proceeded to bark at it long enough for Maggie to find her and grab her.
Only later in the day, when Maggie was out again with Gabby on a new leash, did she learn that two townhome residents had seen Gabby get loose and had gotten into their car to help find Gabby.
Thanks neighbors for looking out for our new puppy.
