|The following letter is being delivered to all condo doors today. |
Dear Condo Resident:
If the authorities issue a hurricane watch, it is important that you comply with recommendations and instructions issued by the local authorities and prepare yourselves by doing the following:
- Listen to the County Warning System on the radio. Do exactly as advised. If there are ill or disabled persons in your home, contact their doctor for instructions.
- In the event of a hurricane watch, residents should install shutters on their unit. If you are a Condominium resident, only the first floor residents need to install shutters. If your shutters are being stored in the locked closets located under the first floor stairwells, we will be unlocking those closets for access when the watch is issued. If you need help installing and taking down your shutters you may hire Green Cay Village Personnel.
- Clear off balconies, terraces and patios. Place rolled towels around the bottom of all exterior doors and windows.
- Close all blinds to avoid shattering glass. Do not tape any windows. Removal of screens is optional.
Please Note: If the Association needs to take care of something because you have not prepared your home properly, you will be back charged for any damages and or costs incurred. Also, if you haven’t updated your contact information with the Management office, please do so and advise if you will be having a neighbor watching your unit and who has the keys.
