But we expect you to do your part too and not make messes. And in particular, we expect that you will not put liquids in your trash bags as trash bags are notorious for leaking and creating nasty spill trails. And we expect that if your shoes get a lot of dirt/mud etc. on them as a part of your job or recreational activities, that you will not wear them into the the building and track the dirt/mud as you go.
Spills like this are not in keeping with our standards.
That said, if you accidentally make a mess, please either clean it up or give the office a call and they will send someone to clean it up with no charge to you - at least not for the first time or two.
On the other hand, if our maintenance team finds unreported spills and tracked dirt that can be traced to your unit, please note that they will clean the mess and your unit will be billed for this additional maintenance service.
Why all this fuss about messes? I think Chris, our maintenance supervisor, sums it up best with his statement that "Other people live here too."
