Or stated another way, the recreation room will no longer be available for use for private parties e.g. birthday parties, weddings, etc. except for those parties that are already scheduled.
As for why the change, the reason is that the parties were negatively effecting the community as a whole in terms of additional maintenance expenses and parking congestion at the clubhouse, for what turned out to be the benefit of only a few residents.
By way of an example, typically only a few residents were in attendance at the parties with the rest being guests. So few residents were being served. But as a result of the party, the master association had to provide nighttime maintenance support for the parties and the clubhouse parking lot was filled to overflowing.
That said, I'll miss the parties and all of the happy faces of the people there. But I wouldn't miss the litter on the property and the congested clubhouse parking lot.
