|If you have tile or wood floors in your unit and you live on the second or third floor, please note that every noise made on your floor sounds as loud or louder in the unit below. |
That said, having a tile or hardwood floor is a privilege that comes with a responsibility to not make unnecessary noises on the floor and toward that end you should;
- Not wear hard soled shoes or high healed shoes in the unit.
- Use felt pads on frequently moved or dragged furniture.
- Use rubber wheeled casters on frequently rolled furniture.
Also, for family's with children, you should not allow the children to play games that bounce hard objects on the floor e.g. hard plastic balls, or ride toys with hard plastic wheels on the floor etc.
