4/2/2010 - Security - Cars Vandalized in Condo Parking Lot

Cars parked in condo parking spots 39 through 60 and the moped parked in an east end guest spot were sprayed with a fire extinguisher sometime between 11:40 pm on Thursday 4/1 and 9:00 am on Friday 4/2.

While the condo association is not responsible for damage due to vandalism, the association will reimburse owners of sprayed cars parked in spots 39 through 60 up to $25.00 for getting their car washed. A receipt is required.

As for "who done it", the extinguisher used came from the west end ground floor hallway in condo building #4. The fire extinguisher was retrieved from the farmer's field at the east end of the condo lot and is being preserved for possible use by the Sheriff in their investigation.

The perp(s) took the fire extinguisher from location 1, walked across the parking lot to location 2, sprayed cars from location 2 to 3 and a moped in location 4, then threw the fire extinguisher in the field in location 5.

No we are not going to hell in a hand basket. Nor are we going back to the dark days of 2007 and 2008. But with all of the new lease tenants we have, we have a lot more teenagers and until they are tamped down, we will probably experience more problems like this one.

Here is what you can do to help address our growth problems.

1. Follow all of the community rules yourself. All of them! This is important because it sets a high standard of behavior for the community. And it eliminates the need for the the Property Manager and the association to waste their time dealing with you when they should be dealing with the real problem people. In short, be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

2. Report ALL rules violations and observed bad behavior to the Property Manager immediately and preferably in writing via email with lots of details. Talking among yourselves does no good. Tammy, Emily, and your association directors need information to act. And with this information we promise unflinching and unrelenting enforcement of the rules right down to and including the eviction of people who are renting and not living up to our community standards.

Bottom line - Do your part. Follow the rules and report those that don't. Then expect the Property Manager and your Directors to act. I promise we will.
